Sharon Kimberley is the Director of Personal Protection Strategies and brings over 35 years of extensive experience in the martial arts industry. A respected authority in her field, Sharon draws on her lived experience across diverse and often challenging roles, including hospitality work in remote communities across the Northern Territory.

As the founder and long-time operator of NT Tang Soo Do Karate — the Territory’s largest full-time martial arts studio — Sharon has demonstrated unwavering leadership, commitment, and innovation in personal safety education. Her teaching and program development span across sectors, including security, hospitality, youth work, public housing, and corporate environments.

Sharon has developed and facilitated a wide range of tailored training programs focused on personal safety, de-escalation, and situational awareness. Her approach is trauma-informed, culturally capable, and rooted in practical experience. She is known for delivering training that is not only effective but deeply respectful of the unique landscape and community dynamics of the NT.
